FINALIST IN THE WSSS SONGWRITERS CONTEST
Singer/Songwriter Stephanie Erin Brill has been selected as a finalist in the Wisconsin Singer Songwriters Series (WSSS) Songwriting Contest. Stephanie will perform her submitted song before a panel of distinguished judges on Friday, November 14th at the Unitarian Church North in Mequon, WI.
The WSSS Selection Committee participated in a comprehensive review process of 79 original songs. Songs were submitted from 25 different songwriters, including musicians from Wisconsin and several from beyond its borders. The selection committee has chosen 10 finalists to perform their qualifying song live before a very accomplished panel of judges:
Piet Levy: Music critic/reporter for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
Chrissy Dzioba: Hal Leonard Publishing and Vice President of WAMI (Wisconsin Area Music Industry)
Jason Klagstad: President of K-Nation Entertainment
Stephanie Elkins: Host/producer of WPR’s Simply Folk on Sunday evenings from 5-8PM
Roy Elkins: Founder and CEO of Broadjam, Inc. serving independent musicians and industry giants such as Warner/Chappell, The Academy of Country Music, AMD, Yamaha, and Peavey
Paul Edwards: President/owner of Trax52 Recording Studio, Wisconsin’s largest and ONLY Grammy Award-winning recording studio
Rocky Kruegel: Owner of Stardust Records in Mequon
WSSS is awarding many fantastic prizes for 1st through 3rd places. First and second place winners will open for Jonathan Byrd on Nov 15th at Unitarian Church North.
